Our flyscreen window uses a 9mm or 11mm thick frame with 18 standard dulux powder coating colors for your selection.
The mid cross brace will be added automatically by default if the length of the screen equals or exceeds 1000mm.
You can also choose the different types of meshes based on your needs.
All materials have met Australian standards.
Type of Mesh:
Fibreglass mesh:
Standard meshed is widely used in fly screen windows in Australia. It is good for stopping bugs and flies coming into your house. Highly flexible and easy to install. However, it does not provide enhanced strength for pets’ scratches and tends to deteriorate in 3~5 years if placed under direct sunlight.
Pet mesh:
It uses PVC-coated, heavy gauge Polyester mesh. In addition, the thickness of the pet mesh is 1-1.2mm, much thicker than 0.3-0.5mm thick standard fibreglass mesh. Furthermore, Pet mesh is scratch-resistant, your dogs or cats cannot leave their marks on this mesh unless they dedicate all of their time to scratch it every day. Therefore you are in a safe place and worry-free zone if you use it to screen pets as it has strong resistance to scratches and bites.
Soft stainless steel mesh:
This is a fire-rating metal mesh with small apertures up to 2mm. If your fly screen window must be fire rating, or you want your screen to last forever. Then this mesh is the one for you. This mesh is not as flexible as fibreglass-based mesh types, and not resistant to scratches. As a result, if you have pets, or the screen is installed on highly trafficable areas, we would not recommend choosing this mesh type.
Grey Mesh:
This is our low visibility mesh range, employing the standard fibreglass mesh materials but in grey colour. Therefore it has all the same features as the fibreglass mesh, with an additional easier blend to the background environment, hence less likely to be noticed in most of the settings. It is recommended if you are sick of the black mesh and want to try something different. It is best if you choose a light colour frame, like white, surf mist, grey etc.
One Way Mesh:Â
This is a privacy mesh made from aluminium. It has a rectangular opening cut facing a tilted angle so that the views are partially blocked when viewing from one side. It is great if you wish to have limited views for your opening, which are common in entry and bathroom openings. The mesh is soft in nature, so it is generally installed with the diamond grille to make the screen more secure. However, you can still have it by itself. Just need to ensure that you go gentle with the mesh as it lacks elasticity and can leave creases and marks easily if bumped or scratched.
